It made New Vegas off of the Fallout 3 base. Obsidian is no stranger to making living worlds. And it's so WEIRD that it turned out this way. I hate how every planet has the exact same kind of enemies with little to no variation, other then Monarch. Sincerely I think that Monarch is the best that The Outer Worlds has to offer with an actually alien environment, great faction choices (even if there is only one good ending that everyone will find and choose), great characters that don't feel like caricatures. Also Vicar Max switching between fanboying over Graham and getting into a theological screaming match with him depending on the status of his personal quest. They're a very entertaining couple and it's fun to see the uptight Max admit that he sees Felix as family. I liked Parvarti, Felix, and Vicar Max the most, and usually traveled around with Max and Felix. The upgrade perks are some of the most boring I have seen in gaming being nothing but numerical increases to stats of one sort or another. I hate how the movement feels even with the upgrade perks. The Scale is so smale, Exploration is so pointless with nothing to find or get excited about except more crashed ships, dead scavengers, or Primals (Space Gorillas). The Towns are so lifeless compared to the towns of Fallout 3, NV, and 4. Hype possibly.īut I just find the game so so so dreadfully boring. So I decided to give The Outer Worlds a shot, the first since the DLCs released, and I have found that.I have no idea how I made it through that first time. Spoilers for somethingĪlso known as, I want to complain about The Outer Worlds, and decided to wrap it up around a thematic thread.
